Your Rise Up identity, with marketplace controls.
Effective August 4, 2026
Information we use
We use your shared Rise Up account details, listings, photos, saved items, marketplace messages, reports, and service activity to provide In Search Of. If you choose “Use my location,” the browser uses your device location to calculate distance; exact device coordinates are kept in the current browser session unless you deliberately include a location when creating content.
What other users see
Public listings may show your community display name, listing photos, title, description, approximate city and state, and seller information meant for marketplace discovery. Your private email and exact device location are not displayed in listings.
How information is shared
Listings are shared with signed-in community members. Messages are shared with their participants. Reports may be reviewed by authorized moderators. Service providers such as Firebase process data to operate authentication, storage, database, hosting, and notifications.
Your choices
You may edit, close, archive, or delete your own listings; remove saved listings; sign out; deny browser location access; and use the in-app account and reporting tools. Account-level requests apply across the shared Rise Up identity.
Security and retention
We use access controls and authenticated Firebase services to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Information may be retained when reasonably necessary for safety, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and service integrity.
